Ms. Araceli Castaneda is the director of Leadership Studies and director of Business Development of the Public Utility Research Center at the University of Florida (PURC). Ms. Castaneda is responsible for conducting training on leadership topics, developing client relationships and managing business negotiations. She has led leadership workshops for organizations in 70 countries and well over 400 participants. Clients in her customized leadership work and coaching include Northwestern Energy and the Florida Public Service Commission in the United States, and Aqualectra, the Turks & Caicos Islands Telecommunications Commission and the Uganda Communications Commission internationally.
Since she joined PURC, Ms. Castaneda has been PURC’s assistant director and administrative director of the PURC/World Bank International Training Program on Utility Regulation and Strategy which has trained over 3,450 utility regulators, policy-makers and infrastructure managers from over 150 countries. She has coordinated numerous programs and research projects in the U.S. and abroad.
Ms. Castaneda studied executive leadership at Harvard University, and is a certified neuro-linguistic programming master practitioner by the NLP University of California in Santa Cruz. She has a Master’s Degree from the University of La Laguna, Spain.
