John Carpenter is an operations intelligence analyst at Oklahoma Gas & Electric in Oklahoma City, OK. He received his MS in Engineering & Technology Management from Oklahoma State University and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Before moving into utility analytics two years ago, he was a business performance consultant who led OG&E’s business process redesign for Smart Meter maintenance. Now John’s focus is on improving analytics around OG&E’s outage and storm restoration work, which includes making use of the billions and billions of data points generated by OG&E’s Smart Meters. John is also working on power restoration time predictions and doing dashboard development to bring recent and real-time data to decision makers without the need for an analyst middle-man.
